Job Expectations

3-YEAR COMMITMENT / START DATE - All staff are expected to keep a three-year initial commitment and may be invited to stay longer if the opportunity is available. Your commitment begins on the date you report to the office and does not include time spent on support raising. For example, someone that comes on staff in January, raises support all Spring and summer and starts in the office in August; his or her 3-year commitment would begin that August through the August of three years later.

SUPPORT – You will be responsible for raising and maintaining your personal support team. You can expect to have excellent training and accountability from our staff to help you succeed. In return, we ask you to commit to raising support using the methods we suggest. They have a great track record of success.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT PLAN – You will be provided with great books and a reading plan to develop you during your time on staff. Some of the reading will be done in community with your team and some will be expected to be read on your own and during off-road months.

SUMMERS – During the summers, all travelers and schedulers are expected to lead at the IT Project. Your time off is not your own. Depending on if your support level is healthy, you will have more freedom and choices but all activities like mission trips, and vacations during your time off the road will need to be approved by the director.
